You Don't Have To Be A Tech Expert To Raise One

This page is your guide to making Armani & Navi Explore Artificial Intelligence a full learning experience at home — even if AI still feels a little unfamiliar to you.

Why AI Literacy Starts at Home

Schools are just beginning to catch up with AI. But your child's curiosity doesn't wait for a curriculum. The conversations you start today — at bedtime, at the kitchen table, in the car — are planting seeds that will grow into confidence, creativity, and capability.

You don't need to know how AI works. You just need to be willing to explore alongside them.

Conversation Starters

  • "If you had a robot friend like Navi, what would you ask her to help you with?"

  • "Can you think of anything we use at home that might use AI?"

  • "What's something you're curious about that you'd love to learn more about?"

  • "If you could invent something to help people, what would it be?"

Extend the Learning

  • AI scavenger hunt — Find 3 things in your home or on your phone that use AI (voice assistants, smart appliances, recommendations)

  • Draw your own robot friend — What would your robot look like? What would its superpower be?

  • Complete the activity pages — Download your free activity page and do it together

  • Visit code.org — Free, kid-friendly coding and technology activities for all ages

A Note from the Creator

"I made this book because I wanted parents and children to learn together. You don't have to have all the answers — just the openness to explore. That's what Armani and Navi are all about."

Parent Guide: Navi’s AI Activity Book

Step by Step Guide to the AI Ativity Prompts

This book is special because it lets your child talk with Navi (an AI robot friend) using ChatGPT. Each activity has a ready-made prompt (a simple message) that you can copy into ChatGPT, Google Gemini or any AI tool you use. For simplicity, we will refer to ChatGPT.

How to Begin:

  • Sit with your child and open ChatGPT.

  • Type or copy the prompt from the activity page into the chat.

  • Read Navi’s answer together.

  • Encourage your child to respond — by writing, drawing, or sharing their own ideas.

  • Remind your child: There are no wrong answers! This is about creativity and fun.

Parent Tips:

  • Keep prompts short and simple — don’t add extra details.

  • If the answer feels too long or tricky, you can ask ChatGPT: “Can you make this shorter for a 7-year-old?”

  • Let your child decorate, doodle, or write however they want — it’s about imagination, not perfection. - Encourage giggles, silliness, and creativity!
